The recent trial in Northern Ireland of soldier F and his acquittal of the murders of two protesters on Bloody Sunday has yet again drawn the consciousness to the table of soul searching.
Why oh why has religion in all it’s manifestations divided humanity to such an extent that it completely counters everything it is supposed to unite, brother against brother.
The killing of so many people on the small island of Ireland in the name of religion is solid proof of its useless existence as a means of unification and communication not only in Ireland but across the globe.
Whose God would allow the deaths of twenty thousand children and what hypocrites religion would consent to giving the provider the weapons to do the job and then recommend them for a peace prize?
Does humanity know no bounds in its sick thought process as it marches ever further forward towards moral self destruction.
There are of course some religious beliefs that appear to unashamedly and overtly preach hatred but must be discounted because they do not concur with accepted humanitarianism.
Take a look around, open your eyes and see that despite having systems of governance that are supposed to guide the fools that subscribe to them, all the expected bastions of social solidarity are crumbling before our eyes.
Go play your games, blow the planet, look away, shrug your shoulders for you too will soon be spitting blood.
